For anyone interested, our next Spirit Drum circle will be Wednesday Sept 27th, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Ridgeway Battlefield Park - 3408 Garrison Rd, Ridgeway(on the North side of Hwy 3 just East Ridge Rd N, Ridgeway (Fort Erie)). With the very special intention of "Celebrating the Full Moon".

Join us we gather in the beautiful and nourishing energies of Grandmother Moon in celebration of her fullness.

This September Full Moon, known by some as the Singing Moon, the Hearth Moon and/or the Harvest Moon, is in Aries and is the closest Full Moon to the threshold of Autumn Equinox. A power-full time of balancing the fiery Aries energies of change with amplified Lunar energies of release.

What a wonderful opportunity to gather in sacred and intentional community and drum up the energies in celebration of all that we are.

Please bring;
- a donation of 10$ (Generosity Policy applies ~ pay what you can)

For anyone interested, our next Spirit Drum Circle will be on Thursday, April 27th at 7:00pm (at the Port Robinson Community Centre (40 Cross St, Port Robinson (Thorold)) with the very special intention of “Exploring Trust”.

Having Trust does not necessarily mean we blindly follow or that have to agree with everyone, or that we are free to give away or deny our responsibilities; to discern, to make choices, to know ourselves, to heal our Personal/Ancestral/Cultural wounds and/or to do our work.

Yet in the extreme absence of Trust, we often build the energy of fragmentation, disconnection, conflict and even war. We can become defensive, fearful, controlling and/or reclusive.

When we are in balanced Trust, we open our hearts and minds to all that supports us. We open our hearts to the mystery of the unknown, we become better listeners and build the energy of connection. We build the energy of empathy and compassion. In trust, we open our hearts to the dynamic flow of giving and receiving, in service to ourselves, to each other, to Mother Earth and to All of life.

What a wonderful opportunity to gather in sacred community to explore and share and to drum in celebration of all that we are.

I believe that the flow of Life is continuously guiding us into right balance with the powerful forces of nature. That as we move into alignment with the rhythms of Mother Earth and embrace the changing seasons of life, we also tap into the divine wisdom and power of creation. Among other things, Winter Solstice/Yule is a time of Renewal, Rejuvenation and Rebirth. It is a powerful time of harmonizing our energy and assessing our life's path and purpose, a time to acknowledge and release old patterns to make room for new growth.

I recently read that the cross cultural definition for the word “prayer” is to Set Sacred Intention. In todays world of instant information, it is certainly tempting to focus our thoughts and energy on what we feel is not working in the world. To me, Setting Sacred Intention is about choosing to focus on what it is we want to create and amplify in life. It’s about opening to the creative and abundant energies of unbounded and unthought of possibility. It's about giving one hundred precent of ourselves to the great gift of life. What a wonderful opportunity to gather in the energies of the New Moon, in sacred community and drum up the energy of all that we are.

"Thank you to everyone who came out in person and in spirit to lasts nights very meaning-full and healing ceremony..

I am still feeling the Ancestors and cannot stop singing the song that came through which turns out to be a Sufi version of a Catholic Hymn called "All I want from you is forever to remember me loving you". Which is such a power-full message and feels quite appropriate as we were calling on the Sufi poet Rumi for guidance. "All I ask of you is forever to remember me loving you" such a power-full sacred intention.
And here is a clip of me singing the song.

A while back I heard the word “Spirituality” defined as “A Search for the Sacred.” So to me “Awakening the Sacred” could also be “Awakening our Spirituality” or “Awakening our most Divine expression.” Who are we when we are at our best? Who are we when we are truly expressing and being our Divine selves? What is Sacred to us? More than ever before the world needs our gifts and medicine and to me every moment is sacred and precious and an opportunity to uplift and bless everything we encounter and everyone we meet, with our medicine.

"I have gotten to experience the workings of Loriii! I have attended a Celtic retreat and my first Moving Mandala just this fall in New Brunswick. May I stress the word first as in my heart I believe there will be more I attend. On that note Lori has a soft and gentle nature while teaching. She also carries the structure and discipline to keep on course. The gifts with in Myself that I came home with after attending both events I personally can not find the words to quite explain. The changes are subtle but far reaching. Every time I release a piece of baggage it makes me very proud to know I release it for my ancestors also. I came home and looked into my sons eyes and thought and felt how I am releasing these things so my son doesn’t have to play this part out. The work done at these shops will last longer than your physical body. I highly recommend attending any workshop being facilitated by Lori or her brothers and sisters. Having Trust does not necessarily mean we have to agree with everyone, or that we are free to give away or to deny our responsibilities; to discern, to make choices, to know ourselves and/or to know our biases, to heal our Personal/Ancestral/Cultural wounds and/or to do our work.

Yet in the extreme absence of Trust, we often build the energy of fragmentation, disconnection, conflict and even war. We can become defensive, fearful, controlling and reclusive.

And when we are in balanced Trust, we open our hearts and minds to all that supports us. We open our hearts to the mystery of the unknown, we become better listeners and build the energy of connection. We build the energy of empathy and compassion. In trust, we open our hearts to the dynamic flow of giving and receiving, in service to ourselves, to each other, to Mother Earth and to All of life.

During this Year long experiential Celtic Shamanism Training, we will explore the 8 Festivals of the Celtic Wheel of the Year. Through sacred ceremony and working closely with the Spirits of Place, Elementals and Faeries our intention is to harmonize our energies with the powerful energies of the seasons and the elements, to explore where we are in relation to the cycles of Nature and the movement of the Sun, Moon and Stars. To discover the ancient knowledge of the Ancestors and in turn establish a deeper connection with ourselves, each other and all of life.

Whether you have Celtic Ancestors or past lives in Celtic Lands, this training may be for you.
Beginning our opening ceremony on Dec 20th/2020 (on line) at the Sacred time of Yule (Winter Solstice), then gathering online Eight more times to explore and celebrate each of the 8 Celtic Festivals throughout the year with activities and suggestions shared in the time in between the festivals and we will be creating a private FB Group for participants all to deepen our experience and move even further into rhythm with the energies of Mother Earth.

By dancing, drumming, storytelling, creative expression, sacred ceremony and singing we seek to activate our Dragon Eyes so as to see through the illusion of separation. To see clearly in both, the Physical World ~ with all that can be touched and felt with our hands and feet and the Mysterious Worlds of intuition and instinct ~ with all that can be sensed and felt within our heart & soul. Lorriiii Dragon Dream (Lori Anne from Canada ) and Ali Rabjohns are honoured to be able to offer this special Goddess circle. Here we will be working with the mythic. This is a sacred place of wonder and reflection, where we can trust our higher selves and look at our personal stories with the help of the Goddess Persephone. She can bring us balance and rebirth for our own daily life.
You will have a chance to:
Connect with Persephone and meditate through movement.
Connect with the Earth through an energy exercise.
Discern what needs to brought into balance within yourself for the Spring Equinox.
Access self - care and nourishment through a safely held space.
Journey, either as part of a guided visualisation or independently. If you are an experienced practitioner, you are welcome to bring your own drum.
Participate in a sharing circle.
Please prepare an altar or a special area dedicated to yourself and to the Spring Equinox. This can be through lighting a candle, or using offerings from nature to create something meaningful for you.
~Bring something powerful to you for the Altar, reflecting the energy of Persephone and this time of early Spring.
Please make sure that you bring a power object or stone/crystal with you that you can use as a talking stick.
~
We will be journeying, so you will need somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down, with a blanket and/or pillow and eye pillow/scarf.
You are welcome to use your own drum or rattle to journey.
You may also like to have a journal and pen to hand.
This circle and ceremony will be held on Zoom, please make sure that you have a good connection and that you allow plenty of time to arrive. We will be closing the space to latecomers, making the circle sacred at 8pm and this will not be live on Facebook due to confidentiality boundaries.

For over 10 years I have been facilitating Intentional Shamanic Drum Circles dedicated to Ceremony, Intentional Drumming, Healing and building Sacred Community.

Studying and practicing Shamanism since 2007 has led me on many adventures including to Arizona, California, New England, Alaska, Mexico, British Columbia, Eastern Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ireland, Scotland and to England, where I received my Teacher Training for The Moving Mandala.

She can be the rainbow serpent, the dragon woman who speaks her truth, whether we want to hear it or not. She is the messenger of Pachamama, Mother Earth and her body are the dragon or ley lines that energise her. As she moves, the earth shakes to literally wake up those who are still asleep!.
Lilith has returned after being banished from the Garden of eden to awaken our collective consciousness - in both men and women as the rising serpentine kundalini ( life force ) of the earth. Lilith can herald the rise of the feminine .

Using the power of the Full Moon in Aquarius, this gathering has the intention of preparing the ground for a deeper inner enquiry and bringing a potent Harvest to fruition this Autumn.
We hope that there will be enough interest to develop a longer online workshop in September, so that we can make the necessary adjustments to face our inner selves. We will journey with the Corn Goddess to ask for guidance with this.
For this circle we are offering the opportunity to work in a sacred way with fire and to feel held in a safe and protective space, whilst we journey together.

Spirit Drumming Celebrating Bealtaine

Join myself and Brenda Marita Mason for a Virtual Spirit Drum Circle via Zoom, 6pm DST (7pm in the Maritimes) April 30th (Bealtaine Eve/May Eve).

Bealtaine, (Bel Taine) meaning ‘bright fire’, is one of the four major Celtic Festivals of the year and is mentioned in some of the earliest Irish literature.

In the Ancient Celtic Calendar, Bealtaine is a Cross Quarter day, half way between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice and is a sacred time which marks the beginning of Summer.

Traditionally, and in Irish Mythology, great bonfires were lit at sunset on May Eve (Bealtaine Eve, April 30th) and were key to marking this time of purification, revitalization, transition and growth.

In these unprecedented times of social distancing, big change and uncertainty it feels even more vital that we tend to our own inner flame, that we remember our oneness and open to the wisdom of the Ancestors.

And so, the invitation here, is to join us as we drum and sing in celebration of this sacred time, in celebration of life and all that we are.

Whether you light a candle and/or a bonfire (check with your local to municipality to be sure before lighting a bonfire) or simply imagine a flame in your heart you will receive the blessing of our collective and loving intentions.

Sacred Song Circle ~ Creating Sacred Space

For anyone interested, Spirit Drumming's first Sacred Song Circle will be Dec 3rd at the Port Robinson Community Centre (40 Cross St, Port Robinson(Thorold)) with the intention of “Creating Sacred Space”.

During a recent meditation I asked my guidance to reveal to me, my purpose and I saw myself singing and my heart opened and I felt so much love and joy. And while co-facilitating a Moving Mandala Shamanic training in England, earlier this month, I received the spirit name "Heart With Many Songs". And it feels like the perfect time to initiate our first Sacred Song Circle.

Sacred Song Circles are an experiential place to explore voice and sound from a shamanic perspective, to raise our vibration and to give ourselves permission to express and create and celebrate who we are. A place to journey through song. And our intention for this first circle is "Creating Sacred Space".

I recently read a statistic that Mental Illness affects 1 in 3 Canadians directly in their lifetime and affects ALL Canadians through family, friends and loved ones.. And from my experience this feels true.
Mental illness has touched my life in many personal ways.. One way, is that someone who was very dear to me, someone who shaped my life considerably was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. This person was, at times, very isolated and when I think about it now, I am deeply touched and saddened by his loneliness.

For people suffering from Mental Illness night time can be the loneliest time of the day. This event is an opportunity for us to declare that we are here! That we are not alone!

I recently read that the cross cultural definition for the word “prayer” is to Set Sacred Intention. In todays world of instant information, it is certainly tempting to focus our thoughts and energy on what we feel is not working in the world. To me, Setting Sacred Intention is about choosing to focus on what we want to create and amplify in life. It’s about opening to the creative and abundant energies of unbounded and unthought of possibility. It's about giving one hundred precent of ourselves to the great gift of life. What a wonderful opportunity to gather in sacred community and drum up the energy of all that we are.

May we all become more aware of where we are in relation to the seasons and the cycles of Nature, to the movement of the Sun, Moon and Stars. And in this awareness may we be blessed with a deeper connection to ourselves, to one another and to All of life. Happy Solstice everyone!

"I have known Lori for more than six years. We met over the love of animals. She was kind, caring, and always very spiritual. I wondered how she stayed that way in these crazy times.
I confided in Lori about an incident that left me very upset. I wasn't sure how to handle it. She listened patiently and then asked me if I would like to drum with her and a few others. The night I went to drumming, I was very nervous and I really didn't have a clue what was going to happen. I wasn't pressured to do anything. That night changed my life forever. I have gotten to experience the workings of Loriii! I have attended a Celtic retreat and my first Moving Mandala just this fall in New Brunswick. May I stress the word first as in my heart I believe there will be more I attend. On that note Lori has a soft and gentle nature while teaching. She also carries the structure and discipline to keep on course. The gifts with in Myself that I came home with after attending both events I personally can not find the words to quite explain. The changes are subtle but far reaching. Every time I release a piece of baggage it makes me very proud to know I release it for my ancestors also. I came home and looked into my sons eyes and thought and felt how I am releasing these things so my son doesn’t have to play this part out. The work done at these shops will last longer than your physical body.
I highly recommend attending any workshop being facilitated by Lori or her brothers and sisters. They are well trained in what they are doing on their paths. Blessings ❤️

Truly and from my heart, I can say that every experience I’ve had with Lori has been wonderfully revealing.
